The Expert Search page is the most complex partof the library, and so we'll get it out of the way right away. Any number of parameters can be input on this page, as outlined below: | ![]() | ![]() |

2. | Fiscal Year: The year the work was produced. Our fiscal year starts April 1st. Please input the year in four digits: e.g. 1962, 2002. |
3. | Document Title: If you know the name of the thing you are looking for, please input it here. |
4. | Document Type: This is the form of media that the material was published in, for example, leaflet, TV script or textbook. |
5. | Category: This is the field, such as history or linguistics, that the material specializes in. The listing generally follows the Japanese National Diet Library Classification system. |

9. | Project location: The place that the project took place. If the Organization is based in London, but their work is in sub-Saharan Africa, the the Project Location is sub-Saharan Africa. Please note that we are working to put the country listing in alphabetical order. Currently, it is tied directly to our Japanese system and is in the order of the Japanese syllabary. |
10. | Organization Location: The opposite of (9), above. In the above example, the location would be London. The order of the Japanese prefectures runs in the traditional Japanese order--from North to South. |
11. | Sort by: Here, you can decide how to order your results. Options are: by document title, by organization or by fiscal year. |
